Guiding Affirmations:

My heart is full of love.

My mind is a safe space.

My inner world is just as real as the outer one.

My prayers are being heard by the creator of the universe.

I am at peace with all that has happened, all that is happening and all that will happen.

The Throne Room

Close your eyes and give God a throne room in your heart.

This a place within you where only You and God reside.

It can be a small room with two chairs, or it can be a grand place with high ceilings and a glowing fireplace.

But only you can enter this place. It is sacred ground.

Here, You live in a seated position beside the One, your creator. But this You, who lives in this throne room with God, is on a higher plane than what you can feel now.

This You is appearing as the fullness of You. This You represents not just the totality of of your hopes and dreams, but the fulfillment of all such things through the will of God. This You is just the piece of God that you showed up as.

This You, being one with the Father, knows all of your groans. Most importantly, this You has felt the relief of your inevitable victory over every one of those obstacles and feelings of despair. This You is full of, and in fact made of, all of the sighs of relief after the storms you’ve faced. This You knows that it’s okay now. And just seeing this version of You, beside the love that created You, lets you know that it’s okay, too.

Any time you feel like something has happened–good or bad–you come back here.

When you have to make a decision and you’re concerned that going one way might somehow knock you off your path, you come back here. The door to this room is always open. You may not even have a door.

They are always waiting for your entrance. They are always delighted by your company.

Sometimes, you may enter the room with a laundry list of questions… or theories… with all the research you’ve done. And they just listen. And then you listen. And you just stay there listening for as long as you need.

And when you’ve got to step out of the room for a bit–before you do, with your eyes still closed, you look back over your shoulder and you see that this You is smiling. They are both smiling, this You and the love that created you. And you begin to smile too because you know you’ll be back.

You open your eyes but you keep the smile. You bring that smile into your outer world with you.

Why it Works

At our best, we are calm. We feel safe and secure. We are breathing steadily and enjoying the blessings of the natural world.

When "problems" arise, it's important for us to look at them objectively, shielding ourselves from a victim mentality or internalizing them to feed our shame.

We must bring all that is out of alignment into the light of awareness. Problems and their solutions are both present in the box. The solutions reveal themselves after you've brought the problem into the light.

Your job is only to bring it all into the light, where you reside.
